Fast Growing Trees Nursery- January Donations

Thank you all for your continued support as we march towards our goal of 1,000,000 trees to be donated in Africa.  As you know, along with donating trees to be planted in Africa, we also raised money to be sent to the Haiti Relief Efforts of the Northwest Haiti Christian Mission.  Thank you so much for your help in getting medical personnel and basic living necessities to the people of Haiti.

However, we have not forgotten about our African efforts.  With your support, we've managed to help donate 1,889 trees to be planted in Africa.  Thank you for making a difference!

The Impact on the African People

Planting trees in Africa is a wonderful way to help a region so desperately in need.  Not only are the new trees a benefit to the environment – but they greatly affect the lives of the people living there.  Let’s look at the impact on the people.

Poor villages are prospering from these trees. The trees planted help with the production of produce and materials for building. Firewood is also a commodity that is necessary and thanks to your efforts is also available.

Trees grow extraordinarily fast in Africa, much quicker than in other parts of the world. Therefore, the return on investment is tremendous. The trees not only help with supplying commodities, they provide education and jobs, even sparking an entrepreneurial spirit in many people.

Through the planting of trees we are able to help the land. Returning nutrients to the soil has a tremendously positive impact on the lives of the African people. With better soil conditions, more life is present. Wildlife and increased plant life are evident where trees have been planted.  Fruits and vegetables grow in rich, fertile soil. On the barren land where new trees have been planted we have seen other trees sprout up, suggesting that the roots of these native trees were laying dormant underground….just waiting for improved conditions and the opportunity to come to life. In addition, the shade provided from the trees is an added benefit for an area known for its extreme heat.

Teaching the residents of these villages about our delicate eco-system and our impact on the environment is something that goes hand in hand with this program. The trees are reducing the carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases, said to be responsible for global warming.

So when you make a purchase from Fast Growing Trees Nursery, you can feel good that not only are you beautifying your surroundings, you are helping others. You are helping the people of Africa to learn, to prosper and to improve their quality of life.

Fast Growing Trees Nursery Plants a Tree in Africa for Every Tree Sold on the Web

Thank you for your help in supporting Fast Growing Trees Nursery's efforts to reforest the barren lands of Africa.

For every tree sold on their website, Fast Growing Trees Nursery will donate one to be planted in Africa.

So far, over 100,000 plants have been donated and planted.

With these trees, a sense of hope is being restored to these African lands. Families can become self-sustainable with fruit trees.  Fast growing shade trees can provide fodder for livestock.  Growing plants help prevent soil erosion, and replenish the ground with much-needed nutrients.

Check back often for updates on how your efforts are helping African families.
